ABOUT:

Perfectly stackable and always classic three stone old mine cut diamond ring in 14k white gold. It is set with the old European cut diamonds in prongs totaling around 1 full carat. Diamond bands are always so popular as they layer well with other pieces but are also often worn alone.

This versatile design can make a fun self gift, or is also seen with romantic connotations. The three stone design became popular in the antique period for use as an engagement ring and in the current period as an anniversary / right hand ring. The three stones can be thought to represent past, present and future or also friendship, love and fidelity as well as mother, father, child or even me, myself and I : ).

Found in the UK, there is evidence of old hallmarks inside but they are worn. Tests at 14k.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 6 1/4
The center diamond is about 4.7mm and the adjacent two are 4.1mm each. I wouldn't remove them from the setting for exact carat weights but it is almost 1 full carat total weight in diamonds.
The piece weighs 1.85 grams. It stands 4.7mm off the finger. The ring face is 14mm east west with the three stones.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

One of the center prongs is worn back so I've taken a few hundred off the price for this reason as it would need a re-tip for more regular wear, or gentle occasional wear as is. Sold as is, priced accordingly as I would typically list for higher but I don't have anyone available to do the repair so I am selling it as is. The center stone can rotate in the setting due to that worn prong but is held by the other three and doesn't come free. The outside stones don't move. Having a prong reinforced can be quite affordable to do but check with your local jeweler as costs can vary. We typically ask them to do the minimum possible and not overwork the piece to make it like new as the other stones are well held.

There is also wear to the gallery at the base of the long prongs where they connect to the shank. It looks like there might have been some reinforcements done there, seen only under magnification and the ring face is still stable.

The diamonds are nice and bright but the center one is on the milky side. It also has a carbon spot. The others also have faint natural inclusions but nothing glaring, a frosty spot here or there.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
